Ratos de Porão 's vocalist João Gordo has released his punk rock version of the song "Tropicana (Morena Tropicana)".

Originally released in 1982 on the album Cavalo De Pau , the song is one of the biggest hits of Alceu Valença . In this new version, João Gordo transforms the song with his irreverent energy and distorted guitars.

“Tropicana (Morena Tropicana)” is the latest single ahead of Brutal Brega: MPB Mode , an album that will bring together punk versions of various Brazilian music classics, by artists such as Luiz Gonzaga, Belchior and others.

Previously, João Gordo had already released single versions of "Coroné Antonio Bento" by Tim Maia and "Atrás do Trio Elétrico" by Caetano Veloso . The complete project will be available on streaming platforms and on CD on November 22nd, through the Wikimetal Music label.

The album is a continuation of Brutal Brega (2022) and is also produced by Val Santos ( VIPER , Toyshop ). The first album is already available on all platforms and on CD via Wikimetal Store .
